Michelle Fact #194937: Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year (aside from my birthday). I love being with my family, basking in the usually cool climate, wearing Autumn apparel, watching football with my dad, and of course eating good food. I love traditions but I also love creating new ones. Over the years I’ve compiled a list of the things I’m thankful for on the last day of the year but in true Thanksgiving fashion – I’m giving thanks today and sharing the abbreviated version of my list!
I’m thankful for this journey that I’m on and for every person that I’ve interacted with on the way. I’m thankful for the gift of life and for the lives of my loved ones. I’m thankful for strong bones that may ache but never break. I’m thankful for new beginnings and leaps of faith and victories over fear. I’m thankful for a tribe that edifies, supports, and inspires me. I’m thankful for sunrises, sunsets, and second chances. I’m thankful for all-consuming grace. I’m thankful for relationships rooted in love and respect. I’m thankful for hope in the midst of confusion or loss. I’m thankful for days filled with fellowship and fun.
May your holiday be filled with love and peace. May your heart be filled with gratitude. May you share God’s love with everyone you come across today.
